[+] Azima DLI DCX™
The patented Azima DLI DCX™ is a rugged, four channel, vibration data collector that supports 4 plane dynamic balancing and advanced analysis capabilities.

Azima DLI has developed the first Windows-compatible portable vibration data collector with embedded data acquisition hardware and automated diagnostic software. This means that you can now have many programs running from the same piece of hardware (just like the integration we see today with the new PDAs, laptops, and cell phones). The Azima DLI DCX™ can multi-task as a vibration data collector, a real-time analyzer, a multi-plane balancer, a network-connected communication tool, and more, simply by adding software.

Embedded in the DCX XRT is Windows® XP Tablet operating system and Azima DLI's popular ExpertALERT™ vibration analysis system. This is the same software system that is used on desktops around the world. It means that at the point of data collection, you have all of your machinery history, analysis tools and automated diagnostic results available to you!

The new DCX employs a pen-based tablet computer built by DRS Tactical Systems. These units have been used in demanding military and industrial environments with great success. The DCX is extra-rugged, its enclosure is milled from solid metal, and it can withstand the toughest plant environment up to 55 degrees C (130F) with spraying water!

The DCX is powerful, small and lightweight. It measures in at 11.25" x 8" x 1.5" and weighs just 4.6 lbs. It has two microprocessors: an Intel Centrino-M operating at 1.1 GHz and a Texas Instruments digital signal processor (DSP). The standard configuration includes 512 MB of random access memory. The operating system is Windows® XP Tablet PC operating system that utilizes a TFT color display and an electronic pen. Also included are serial, parallel and USB ports and connections for an external keyboard, mouse and monitor.

The DCX does not require a host software system. All traditional host system functionality is integral to the DCX. The device also does not utilize data collector routes, a complete database resides on the unit's shock-proof 16-gigabyte solid-state hard drive. This database contains all of the plant machinery setup information, previous data, diagnostic history and trends for all machines in a plant. The user can add or modify machines as well as review historical information and trends for any machine while on the plant floor.

Sharing vibration information and results has never been easier. Because the DCX is PC-based, it can be connected directly to your company Network or the Internet. Database replication technology allows two or more databases anywhere in the world to be synchronized via the Internet. Data may also be shared between plant sites using portable or online systems to facilitate centralized monitoring capabilities.

    Vibration Diagnostic System

    Download Partial Fault List Here

Many in the industry lay claims of a vibration analysis and diagnostic system. However, not one of our competitor's claims can stand up to the power, depth and accuracy of ExpertALERT's machinery diagnostics. In competitive tests, time after time, our Automated Diagnostics Engine is clearly the leader.

You can use the diagnostic report to review the results and interactively display drawings of the machines, explanations of the diagnoses, and graphical displays in a variety of formats. The diagnostic system gives you a diagnosis of the problem(s) that exist, and a recommendation. In addition, each fault diagnosis is given a severity, both verbal (slight, moderate, serious or extreme), and numeric. You may then trend this information and thus determine how the severity is changing over time, telling you how quickly you need to act. This is possibly the most useful tool available.

    Diagnostic System Features

    • Over 4,500 rules
    • Continuous development and improvement since 1988
    • Over 650 machine fault messages
    • 21 different component types supported
    • Uses demodulated spectra for advanced bearing wear diagnosis

Our Diagnostic Engine uses an empirical, rule based, logic system that utilizes order normalized data, spectrum analysis, cepstrum analysis, demodulated data analysis ( enveloping ), and a few methods we would refer to as "proprietary". Our new Diagnostic System also has become more flexible, where single axis, bi-axial and (as always) triaxial vibration data formats are now all accepted for accurate diagnoses.

    Hearing is Believing

One recent advancement is taking the technology backwards! It has long been proven that audio evaluations of vibration test data are valuable in identifying machinery problems. Traditional mechanics have a trained ear for machinery problems, listening to transmitted sound through a screwdriver pressed against their ear. Now analysts can develop and use this skill to identify tough machine problems. ExpertALERT transforms your vibration data into continuous sound clips that are heard from your PC multimedia speakers. Compare common machinery test points, identify a source of airborne noise, and confirm expert and manual analysis with your trusted sense of sound.

    [+] StandardALERT™ - Vibration Analysis Software
StandardALERT™ is the most economical version of the ALERT Analysis System. It contains all of the manual analysis tools found in ExpertALERT but none of the automated diagnostics.

    StandardALERT™

StandardALERT™ contains all of the manual analysis tools found inExpertALERT™. The software will automatically screen the data for alarms or exceedances in up to 63 alarm bands in per test location and up to 99 test locations per machine. This software is appropriate for those on a budget or who don’t have machines or applications that lend themselves to automated diagnostics.

StandardALERT users can easily upgrade to ExpertALERT in order to take advantage of automated bearing wear detection and full machine fault diagnostics.

StandardALERT automatically screens and creates an excpetion report on up to 6 spectra (3 axis in 2 frequency ranges) and 3 overall RMS values per test location. Up to 99 test locations can be defined per machine. The exception report contains the levels of the peaks, exceedances over baseline, frequencies, axis and test locations. This information allows analysts to quickly identify alarm conditions and hone in on the suspect information in the graphs. In fact, there are 63 distinct alarm bands automatically screened by StandardALERT on each machine test location. All 63 alarms may be presented in chart format, or just the exceedences reported in the exception report.

    [+] SpriteMAX™

    A UNIQUE APPROACH

SpriteMAX™ is the culmination of 40 years of vibration analysis experience embodied in a product that is unique in the marketplace. Most online monitoring systems either collect overall vibration data and issue alarms or they send reems of vibration data from the machine to a workstation where someone is expected to analyze it. SpriteMAX is unique in that it collects a great deal of complex vibration and process data, analyzes it and comes up with an accurate and concise fault diagnosis right at the machine! The fault diagnosis and a repair recommendation are then made available to the appropriate personnel in a variety of formats depending upon their needs. Complex data may also be distributed to a central site(s) for further analysis if necessary. Download a guide to some of SpriteMAX's Interfaces

    SpriteMAX™ IS COST EFFECTIVES

From purchase to installation to implementation, use and maintenance, SpriteMAX was designed with operational efficiency and cost effectiveness in mind. SpriteMAX's modular design and Ethernet (or WiFi) connectivity make it scalable and easy to install. SpriteMAX is designed to be installed on or very close to the machines it will monitor, greatly reducing cable runs. Instead of cabling many sensors to one SpriteMAX, multiple SpriteMAXs are installed in the plant and networked together. In previous generation online systems, installation costs typically dwarfed the hardware and software costs - this is not the case with the SpriteMAX.

    EFFICIENT OPERATION

One must consider why one is installing a vibration monitoring system and how it will be used. Systems that only produce vague vibration alarms are not very useful because someone will need to interpret the alarms and determine their cause. This requires additional tests and expertise and possibly additional equipment. If the online system just moves large volumes of data from the machine to a workstation, who will have the time to analyze all of this data? SpriteMAX is the only system on the market that can turn complex vibration data into an accurate fault diagnosis at the machine. The idea was so good in fact that we patented it!

    REMOTE MONITORING

SpriteMAX can be managed, maintained and accessed remotely via the Internet. This offers benefits on a variety of levels, from installing software upgrades to monitoring difficult to reach installations. SpriteMAX can notify distant individuals about changes in machine condition. Service centers can access SpriteMAX results and raw data in order to support customers.

    INTEGRATION

SpriteMAX is configured using Azima DLI's ExpertALERT™ software and is therefore compatible with all of Azima DLI's portable data collectors and analyzers. SpriteMAX is OPC DA compatible, meaning it can access information from your control system to aid in its analysis and fault diagnostics. SpriteMAX can also output its fault reports in OPC format so that they can be easily integrated into existing control panels or displays. SpriteMAX also outpts information in XML format making it easy to customize your interface to the system.

    EMBEDDED POWER

The compact but surprisingly powerful Sprite manages data acquisition, network services, automated machine diagnostics and supports a full range of application software. The heart of Sprite is an industrial-class running Windows® XP Embedded. Onboard nonvolatile memory capacity ranges from 512 megabytes to several gigabytes.

    WIRELESS CONDITION MONITORING

Sprite’s standard network interfaces include both a sealed RJ-45 connection to your plant’s wired Ethernet and an integral 802.11 wireless network adapter. If you need to install Sprite in a remote, hard-to-reach or outdoor location, save time and installation costs by utilizing its wireless networking feature.

    TOUGH AS NAILS

Sprite’s billet aluminum enclosure was designed to exceed IP-67. It can be submerged in water, operate at 60º C (140 deg. F) and can withstand continuous exposure to vibration of 15 G RMS (0-5kHz). Its operating system and mass storage utilize the latest in compact flash high-density technology, offering the ruggedness of solid-state memory.

    SpriteMAX™

SpriteMAX is a fully independent online data acquisition and diagnostic system. With its integral online software, it can be installed remotely without the need for a local network infrastructure. Connect a broadband modem to it at the remote site to monitor its results or integrate it with your local monitoring system. Vibration and process data, trends, diagnostic results and repair recommendations can be viewed by accessing SpriteMAX with only a web browser.
